Quote of the Day: “Let’s just say that wedding mints are hard and should not be put off until 9:30pm! Well, they weren’t exactly difficult, but they made a huge mess in my kitchen (no thanks to my Tim Taylor hand mixer) and, until I got a system down, they were really hard to get out of the candy molds. Also, you cannot add food coloring after you have mixed the sugar in (read: tie dye mints). I wanted them a darker green to achieve the bride’s chosen color, but they are at least a pleasant minty green. And if you let them dry a bit in the molds, they come out a little easier.”
Why?: My sister got a bit more of a rant than she was probably expecting when she asked what I was using candy molds for. I eventually mastered the mints, but they definitely won a few rounds against me last night.
